Inside Stone Sales Representative

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide customer service in the sale of the proper products

  • Identify and introduce cross-sell opportunities to grow the business, understanding and leveraging all aspects of the sales process

  • Answer phones and make cold calls

  • Provide quotations and write contracts

  • Proper use of the Great Plains POS and Lead Management System (LMS)

  • Set up deliveries and dispatch them

  • Keep shelves stocked and the showroom clean

  • Blueprint takeoff and reading

  • Purchase materials, check inventory

  • Check the cash and credit customer list

  • Attend after-hours networking events and trade shows at different locations

  • Continue product knowledge

  • Miscellaneous duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, twisting, lifting and pulling.  Must have the ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.  This job also requires the employee to frequently work from a stationary position, sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

JOB TYPE:

  • Two Full Time/Permanent Positions Available

  • Location: Westport, CT; Bethel, CT

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

90% office work and 10% moving around the showroom and yard.  This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  This job also requires the employee to walk around the showroom and yard with customers in all weather conditions.  Potentially exposed to hazardous materials.
